It can be good to clarify that, because these days new forms of the theodicy rejected by the Book of Job - bad things happen to bad people and good things to good people - keeps reemerging in new forms, like extreme mind/body holism where everyone who's physically sick supposedly got that way because of mental/spiritual unwellness. And "prosperity theology." Within spiritual and psychological life, it's very different - as you state in this post, we really do play a large role in how joyful or unhappy we are. Thanks Mark.
