Signs, Are They Real? What Do They Mean?

August 30, 2007 tobeme 48 comments

light.jpg

On this morning’s local news there was a story about an image, which has appeared on a garage door in one of the local communities. This image appears to be a reflection of light, though no one can see where the reflection is coming from. The reflection to some appears to be the image of the “Virgin Mary”. One could not make out the image from the view the camera gave us, even the news reporters admittedly could not make out the image of Mary. However there was a throng of people gathering to view this image. The Catholic Church who often investigates this type of phenomenon stated that they were not planning on conducting an investigation.

People who had gathered to view this image of Mary on the garage door were interviewed, and many stated that they could see the image of Mary and they believed it to be a miracle, a sign from God or that “Mary” was attempting to send a message. People will no doubt gather to view and pray before this image. Some will bring their sick in hopes that this image will afford them some special blessing. Others will leave gifts, signs of tribute to the image on the garage.

As I sit and watch how people react to this image it makes me ask the question, why? Why do they see this image and why are they so drawn to this image. I believe that the answer lies in how many people think. One of the reasons people are drawn like a magnet to this type of image is that they are hungry for answers about their own faith and they are even more hungry for something which validates their faith. To me, it is very interesting that so many people believe that will find that validation in some external thing, that what they seek is some how beyond themselves.

I think the seeing of an image like this comes from a need to see it. I am a big believer in ‘signs’, I see them all of the time, however I believe part of the reason I see ‘signs’ is because I have an awareness, and the more aware I become the more signs I see.

Think about it, when you increase your awareness about anything, you begin to see more of what you have increased your awareness about. An example would be, you go buy a car, which you believe is fairly unique in style and color. You don’t remember seeing very many on the road. You feel pretty great that you have something unique that not too many other people have. You may even view yourself as a trendsetter, then you drive it off the lot and within the next 48 hours, you suddenly begin to see the exact same car that you bought all over the place. What changed? People didn’t suddenly rush out and buy the same car you did, no, your awareness is what changed.

I believe this is the same with ‘signs’ in whatever form they may take, be it an image of Mary or Jesus, a rose, a butterfly, whatever the sign you are looking for is.

‘Signs’ are great, they are a reality, which we create to validate beliefs, or decisions that we are making. I do not discount these signs, I believe they are there for a reason and that each of us must discern what that reason is. There are many things, which we cannot explain with logic or science that does not make them any less valid to each individual.

As for me, I won’t be traveling to the garage door to see the reported image of ‘Mary’, I believe I would see a refraction of light and this is probably because the image of ‘Mary” is not the sign that I need right now.

For those people who do see “Mary” in this image on the garage door, my love and blessings go to them. May they find what they are seeking, may this image give them pause for increased health, peace and love in their life’s and may that love, that pure energy transcend their being and illuminate all of us.

The Theater of Your Mind

“All things are possible to him that believeth.”

  •  Mark 9:23

movie.jpg

You walk into a movie theater, sit down, get comfortable as the lights dim and the movie starts, your mind begins a suspension of disbelief. We suspend are disbelief for the next couple of hours as we become engrossed in the movie. We shut off our logical mind and somehow forget that what we are seeing is merely a series of images being projected onto a white screen. We get involved in the movie, we suspend our belief of what is reality and allow ourselves to experience a wide range of emotions, from laughing out loud to tears rolling down our face and sobbing, to being scared out of our wits to the point where we are thankful that our deodorant is holding out. In order to do this, our mind suspends it’s disbelief, we forget for the moment that none of this is really happening, that these people though real, are only acting out a part, reading from a script. That what we are seeing is simply a well-crafted story.

I hear and read so many people who say they wish to do something, however they can’t because they don’t have the talent or they have some other self imposed barrier, which is impeding them from doing what they know deep down they are here to do.  We have all been in this situation, we know that there is something that we long to do, however we have a disbelief that is we don’t believe we can do this something for whatever reasons we may have convinced ourselves of.

I ask you today to suspend your disbelief. I ask you to enter the theater of your life and see on your private screen the life that you wish to live, the dreams that you want to come true. See yourself being the person whom you desire to be and all that comes with that deep-rooted desire. Dim the lights and get lost in your vision of you, suspend your self-created beliefs and see you as you ideally wish to see yourself. Once you have that image, understand that is who you already are, you create who you are by your thoughts.

Here’s how it works, once you convince yourself, your mind, that image of you is who you are, your mind consciously and unconsciously will begin to do everything to make that image that your mind sees a reality. You will begin taking actions to become the image, which you envision in the theater of your mind.

The great part of about the theater of your mind is that it is open 24/7 and admission is always free. Heck, you can even choose the most comfortable seat that you can find.

Take a few moments today and visit the theater of your mind, become the star of your own movie, write your own script and suspend your beliefs about yourself, throw out those self limiting thoughts and go over the rainbow and live the life that you create with your thoughts.

Is It About Physical Attraction or Is It Something More?

August 29, 2007 tobeme 14 comments

attraction.jpg

Our society is hell bent on trying to figure out what can we do to our self to attract the kind of person that we want to attract. Cosmetic industries, the fitness industry, plastic surgery, which all have many spin-off products are built on this very question. As a society we place a high value on our outward appearance and the biggest reason that we do is because we have come to believe that the way we look dictates whom we will attract into our life as possible mates.

If you were an alien who just arrived on this planet for a visit and observed our obsession with our physical appearance and the millions of dollars that we spend to change, improve and maintain our outward appearance you would simply shake your head in amazement.

The funny thing is, that with this obsession toward our outward appearance, we as a society don’t seem any better equipped to attract the people into our life whom we desire to attract! So, what gives?

Is it not about physical attraction? Is physical attraction overstated and overrated? If physical attraction is not the key to attracting the person we desire then what is?

Truth is physical attraction often does play a part at the on-set of attraction, however there is much more to attraction isn’t there. How many times have we observed someone to be outwardly attractive to find out within seconds of opening their mouth that they were indeed not very attractive at all? Vise Versa, how many times have we met someone and after being around them for a while we discover that there is a physical attraction that we didn’t notice at first? This happens all of the time. Why?

At the end of the day we are attracted to people who are confident in who they are, who carry themselves well, who seem to be in touch with themselves, who display traits that we find attractive, such as kindness to children and animals, kindness to their fellow man, etc.  Want to get to know someone, watch how they treat the wait staff at a restaurant or any other service-oriented people.

We are most attractive when we are comfortable with ourselves. We are most attractive when we show interest in others, we are most attractive when we sincerely care. We are most attractive when we emit the positive energy of the love that is within us.

You can work on your physical appearance all day long and you can have the look that society states is the look to have, however if you are an internal mess then you will not have the attractiveness to attract the person whom you seek. If you do attract someone solely on your outward appearance, you will most likely find the relationship to be shallow and frustrating.

I believe that we should care about our outward appearance, notice I said we should care, not obsess, there is a huge difference.

To be attractive, to attract the person whom we desire to attract we must be comfortable, confident and full of love and be open to all possibilities.

Note, many people who are dating or seeking a mate will dismiss possible people from their dating circle simply because they are not their physical type. You know how this goes, people often say, well he/she is not my type. My type is … and they will give a list of rules, which are usually physical requirements, for example, must be at least 2 inches taller or shorter, must be blonde or brunette, etc. This is very limiting thinking, we must be willing to be open up to the possibilities which go beyond physical attributes. When you do, you may be surprised whom you attract.

Think about someone who you once found very attractive and then after you got to know them, maybe even years after you been with them, all of a sudden you begin to find them not so attractive, yet their physical appearance has not really changed much. What happened, why are you no longer attracted to this person who you once could not keep your mind or hand off of? The only thing, which has changed, is your thoughts of this person. Your perspective has changed, not his/her appearance. They still look the same as they did before, you simply are seeing them from a different perspective. See, it is all about your thoughts!

Attraction is thought, as is everything. Attraction and having people attracted to you is a product of your thoughts. Our thoughts are the most attractive thing that we have. Want to be attractive, think attractive!

Living Your Dream or Dreaming of Living?

August 27, 2007 tobeme 37 comments

purpose.jpg

“A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write,

if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be,

he must be”

 Abraham Maslow (1908-1970) American Psychologist

Are you living your dream, or are you dreaming of living? Abraham Maslow said it very well in the above quote, we must live our purpose, we must allow ourselves to be who we know we are! We each are here for a purpose, we each feel that purpose within us, however many people suppress what they feel their purpose is. People suppress their purpose for many reasons and some people suppress their purpose for so long that on the surface they even get to the point where they no longer feel they know what their purpose is. This is one of the primary reasons that many people feel so lost in this world, they are so out of touch with their purpose, they feel lost, without purpose and therefore do not know what to do with themselves. Most people who are in this state of feeling ‘lost’, hunger and dream of living a purpose driven life. This is the reason why so many people are so vulnerable to being taken advantage of by slick marketers who promise to have all of the answers if you buy their products or by people who are on a power trip and want to control and take advantage of people in various ways. Many people are waiting out there with baited breath for someone to come along and tell them what their purpose is. Of course the problem with someone else telling you what your purpose is, is that many times the motivation of that person is not of pure intent. They are telling you what your purpose is for their own egos satisfaction and often to fulfill the false purpose of their own ego.

To know your purpose, one must look inward. One must ask oneself, what am I passionate about, what invokes passion within me, is it creating, such as writing, singing, making music, drawing, poetry, opera, or is it helping others in some way, etc. What is your inner passion? One thing you can do to re-discover your purpose is to remember back to your childhood, what type of activities brought you the most joy. What dreams did you have that you suppressed because it wasn’t the practical thing to do at the time or because someone else told you that your dreams were outlandish and that you could never achieve them?

Many people get caught up in day to day living which for many becomes day to day survival and before they know what has happened many years go by and that dream that they were going to get to some day, never happened. In essence, they miss their purpose.

We see and hear of this on a smaller scale all of the time. When I was grocery shopping yesterday, I overheard two of the young men who were stocking the shelves talking to each other, one said to the other, “yeah, I got that a while back to hold me over till I could get what I really wanted, however I never got around to it”. This scenario plays out often in our daily lives. On a larger scale this is what often happens with our purpose, we lose sight of it because we are too busy getting by, settling for less than what our purpose is, waiting for that elusive “someday” that never seems to come because we allow our day to day life to get in the way.

Today I implore you to ask yourself;

  • What is my purpose?
  •  Am I living my purpose?
  •  Am I living my dream?
  • What do I need to do to re-discover my purpose?
  • What do I need to do to get back on purpose?

Remember, you are thought, regardless of your life circumstances you have the power to live your purpose. This is not a time for excuses, this is a time to live on purpose.

What’s Inside the Package?

August 24, 2007 tobeme 40 comments

Have you ever bought something that had a great package and you were all excited about the product and then you opened it up to find that the size and appearance of the box man-in-hat.jpgdoes not relate to the size and appearance of the product inside? I think I can safely say that most of us have had this experience at least once. We don’t buy the product because we want to use the package do we, in fact we normally throw the packaging away and use what comes inside the package.

Appearances can be very deceiving can’t they? We are very much like the product, which comes within a package. In our case our form is the package and our soul is what is inside, the difference being, that our package, our form in this case is our present vehicle for our soul, however our soul is certainly not limited nor is it defined by our packaging!

The really curious thing is this, we spend most of our time focusing on our package, our external display if you will and we tend to neglect the real us, the product within our form, our soul, our spirit. Think about it, we spend a great amount of time keeping our form in shape, properly groomed, we even spend a huge amount of time and money to decorate our form with the right clothes and accessories. Now, there is nothing wrong with this, in fact we are grateful that people groom themselves and take care with their appearance. The question here is, do you spend an equal amount or more time tending to the real you, the you that is not your form, your soul, your spirit?

Think about this, it is not uncommon for a person to go to the gym 3 or more times per week, have their hair done every few weeks, have their nails done, etc and yet only spend one hour a week in some sort of effort to mindfully feed there inner being, their true eternal self. Now, I know if you are reading this, you are probably not that average person and you are most likely tending to the inner you more than most, however is your attendance to your inner self at least balanced with the attention which you give to your package? What can you do to feed, tend and care to your inner, true self more?

Remember what you see in the mirror is not who you are, nor do you have to define yourself or limit yourself because of your packaging. You are a divine being, your soul, your spirit, your energy transcends your form. Your form is limited, it will age, change shape and eventually it will die, where as what is within your form is the real you, the you that is pure love, pure energy, the you which is eternal.

Today, I encourage you to look past your packaging and also to look past the packaging of others, for that package which you see, is not who you or anyone else truly is.

Hang Up The Gloves

August 23, 2007 tobeme 14 comments

boxing.jpg

I have had the opportunity to teach many people how to be honest, effective sales people. One of the key lessons that I always taught was, do not bash your competition in any way, shape or form. Never speak poorly of your competition. I taught this because I believe it is bad form to talk poorly of your competition, every time you speak of your competition you are giving them free publicity, even if it is intended to be bad, you are still repeating their name and many people are put off or could be offended when you speak poorly of your competition.  I always taught people to focus on what you are selling, focus on how your product will benefit your customer. In other words sell your product and don’t place any focus on the competitor’s product. This was and still is sage advice, however I have recently begun to understand a bigger reason why this technique is so important and why it works and this reason applies across all areas where we may compete, be it, work, relationships, sports, etc.

I would like you to think about something, when you are in competition with someone or something, when you are trying to beat the other person and win, when you are fighting to win what happens? Think about what it is like to be in a fight or a competitive battle of some sort, what happens to you when you are in a fight to win mode? You expend a lot of energy when you are in this mode, don’t you? Of course you do, when you are in a competitive mode where you are trying to beat the other person or thing, you expend a great deal of physical and emotional energy. As you expend all of this energy, you become fatigued, less efficient, you may even begin to do or say things that don’t make sense, in short you become weakened by the battle, the fight, you become weakened by all the energy you expend.

This happens in all fights that we have, this could be a fight to win a game of racquetball, or a fight to be right in an argument with our significant other, or the fight to win some battle at work, or the fight against our weight, our eating habits, this even applies to our fights against disease, such as cancer, etc. When we fight in this way, we expend so much energy, that we become weak and place ourselves in a more vulnerable position.

So, how do we compete, how do we win without fighting to win. First we must accept that we don’t have to win, that at the end of the day, it’s not about winning. Sure, it would be nice to win, however if we don’t, so what. We must learn to really not care about winning and focus on the process of what we are doing. If we are in a discussion with someone we must concede to ourselves that we don’t have to be right at any cost. If we are playing a game, we must concede to ourselves that the game is not about winning, it’s about playing the best possible game that we can. If we are trying to lose weight or eliminate or lessen a disease we must visualize what we want to achieve and to focus on doing the things, which will accomplish our goal and not focus on fighting the weight or disease.

Most importantly we must send our opponent, whoever/whatever we are in competition with, love. Send love, instead of the thoughts of I will beat you no matter what. When we send love, we actually gain strength, both physical and emotional strength will increase and we will be in a stronger position to win.

It is rather amazing, however as you care less about winning and focus on what you are doing, you tend to start winning more. When you cease seeking praise or seeking approval you begin to attract more praise and more approval. Why, because you are thinking and acting with love as your intent, which gives you more energy, which makes you more efficient at what you are trying to achieve. You will find that you are no longer worn out from the battle, because you will have removed the whole concept of battle from your day-to-day life. The next time you feel that you are in a competitive situation, stop and ask yourself;

  • Am I fighting, am I engaging in a battle?
  • What are the intentions of my thoughts and actions? Is this all about winning?
  • How can I change my perspective on this?
  • What about the other person/thing, can I serve them and myself by sending love to them and focusing on what I need to thing and do rather then placing my attention on them?

Once you begin to ask yourself these questions, you will begin to see your perspective change and you will see wonderful results because of your shift in perspective.

The Power of a Story

August 23, 2007 tobeme 21 comments

fall-rock.jpg

Want to get someone to remember something, tell them a story. Stories are very powerful. We learn many of life’s lessons through stories that we have been told. If you think about it, most religions use a variety of stories to teach lessons. Think about it, most of us know the story of Noah’s Ark, Adam and Eve, the loaf and fishes and turning water to wine. We were told these stories because they contain lessons, which were deemed to have value by our parents and religious leaders. We use stories like “The Monkey Trap” or urban legends like the guy who wakes up to find someone has harvested his kidneys to help us learn lessons.

Some stories are told simply to tell a story. Even some very silly stories will resonate in your mind for years. Stories many times are a verbal record of history. We pass along stories to remember significant events in our life or the life’s of others.

Last night after my Mother’s funeral, we sat around the kitchen table unwinding from a long, emotional day. As we talked about the events of the day, people as they often do as the grieve began to tell stories of my Mom, which inspired other stories of our childhood.

My sister related one story about her and my father that I had never heard.

When she was a very little girl, she was riding in the car on a family trip through North East Pennsylvania. The roads of North East, Pennsylvania are cut through many mountains. Often the wall of the mountain is right outside the passenger side window. Along these roads you will periodically see a sign that says, “Watch for Falling Rock”. My sister was old enough to read at the time and being curious, she asked my Father, Why did they have signs that said, “Watch for Falling Rock”. My father quickly went into a story, which I believe he made up on the fly. He said, “Falling Rock” is the name of a Native American Brave who disappeared in these hills. He was very respected and loved and his tribe was so sad over his strange disappearance that they searched and searched for many days, yet they were unable to find the brave “Falling Rock”. When they were unable to find him, they erected all of these signs that said, “Watch for Falling Rock” so that everyone who travels in these hills would forever be on the lookout for their missing friend. My sister was very satisfied with this story and for the rest of this trip and for many to come she always kept a lookout for the missing brave “Falling Rock”.

My sister is now in her 50’s and still remembers this story and the memories of her family trips to Pennsylvania. Now, this is an example of a silly story, however it clearly demonstrates how stories can stay with us for a long time and can be easily recalled.

I use stories often when I am teaching people concepts and ways to manage their daily activities. What I have found is that once I have told someone a story, instead of having to go up to them and repeat and entire lesson, I simply have to go up to them, touch their shoulder and say, “remember the story of …” and they have instant recall and say, “Oh yeah, I remember … thank-you” and they quickly adjust their behavior because of the lesson they remember from the story.

Remember as you are teaching others, use stories where you can, for stories help us to remember the lesson.

Oh, by the way, I am sure you will never passing a “Falling Rock” sign again without glancing around for that missing Native American Brave we will forever know as “Falling Rock”!

What If I Make the Wrong Decision?

August 20, 2007 tobeme 42 comments

decisions.jpg

What if I make a wrong decision, seems to be a universal question that we all have asked ourselves from time to time. This question often comes up when we have a tough decision to make and either decision we make has consequences which we preceive to be somewhat balanced, however we feel that there is truly a right decision and a wrong decision and we fear choosing the wrong decision. Why do we have this fear of making a wrong decision? Simple really, if we make what we preceive to be a bad decision, then we own that decision, it’s our responsibility, we may have to admit that we made a mistake, we may feel that our reputation will be tarnished, etc. So instead of making a bad or wrong decision we play mental tennis with our decisions, bouncing back and forth on which decision is the best one to make. This type of stalling usually causes a great deal of stress, which has an impact on our mental and physical health and may even cause more angst in our life because delaying some decisions can create bigger issues.

The key to making decisions is to make one. Make your decision based on gathered facts and projected outcome and most of all based on what your true inner voice tells you. You know your gut feeling, your intuition. The key is to be able to discern gut feeling from ego. Our ego often tells us to go against what we intuitivly know is right. When making a decision always go with your gut feelings and know that even if your decision at first turns out to be the wrong one, trust in the Universe that there are no accidents and that there is a purpose for the decision which you chose to make.

The bottom line is, if you listen to your inner voice and you trust in yourself, then you know that you can’t make a wrong decision. Your decision will always be right, even if at first it does not seem to be.

The Wedding Band

August 19, 2007 tobeme 34 comments

wedding-band.jpg

Last Thursday, my Mother left this plane of existiance and traveled to her next plane of existance. As we prepare for the funeral, which in my mind is a ceremony for the living not one for the dead, we have had to make many arrangements. Before the on-set of my Mom’s Alzhimers, my Mother and Sister had spoken about my Mothers last wishes. One of her last wishes, was to be buried wearing her original wedding band. A few years back, I believe, on my Mom and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary my Father had given my Mother a new updated wedding band as a gift. My Mother was very grateful for the new wedding band, however requested that when her body was put to rest that she wanted to be wearing her original wedding band.

My Sister knowing this went to the funeral director today to drop off the clothes which my Mom would be buried in and brought the original wedding band with her. She told the funeral director the story and asked him to remove the wedding band she was wearing and to place the original wedding band on her finger. He said, “no problem, matter of fact, I will do it right now”. He then went to replace the wedding band, he returned shortly and told my Sister that he did indeed place  the original wedding band on my Mom’s finger, however that she was not wearing the other wedding band. After some phone calls my Sister discovered that my brother had been to see my Mom the night before she passed on and had signed for the ring at the nursing home where my Mother was residing.

I can only guess that my Mom knew that she was in her last hours and that she gave the ring to my Brother for one of two reasons, one that she was fearful that someone would steal it off of her dead body or that it was a symbolic act, one that indicated that she knew that her time in her current form was very short and that she knew that she really didn’t need to take it with her.

Either way, this simple act made me think about a couple of things, one, as we near death do we realize how close we are? Two, the material things which we aquire while we are here in human form, do not matter much once we step out of this plane of existance and into another.  We go out as we came in, that is we arrived as energy, spirit and we leave as energy spirit, no luggage, no accumulation of things to take with us. All that we bought and enjoyed while we were here, stays here with the body that served us and we move on as pure energy/spirit.

I think that it is very important to remember in our daily lifes that all of these “things” that we aquire along our human journey will mean nothing when we cross over the threshold to next leg of our journey.  Just as we will leave our body behind, so will we leave the “things” of our human life. Knowing this and reflecting on this, helps us to place the things in our life into perspective.  Yes, it is nice to have a new car and live in a fine house, it is nice to have good clothes and be surounded by pretty things, however in the end, we will not take any of these things with us, they will have zero value to us when we leave this form. This is an excellent reminder to always know that we must be willing to let go of our things, that this “letting go” is part of our transformation.

The really cool thought is, we don’t have to wait until we depart this human existance to accomplish this. We have the ability to transform many times in our life. This transformation often means being able to let go of the things in our life which we value. We resist giving up things, we sometimes try very hard to hold on to the “things” in our life.

It is very important to remember that we must be willing to let go, for when we do, we are then prepared to make the transformation which we desire and when we make the transformation, we will look back and laugh at ourselves for being so silly to think that those “things” were so valuable and that we clung to them so. We will laugh at how naive we were and we will smile a knowing smile as we realize how much better life is because we were able to let go.

We should all take a look around and ask ourselves, “What am I clinging to, that is holding me back? How is my need to hold on to things impeding my ability to cross the next threshold, what must I be willing to let go of?”

Sometimes you will find, to make the next transformation, you only mentaly have to be willing to give some “things” up and you will find at other times that you must truly give some things up to really transform. The key is that it is all up to you, it is all within your thoughts.

Be Not Blinded By Your Convictions

August 18, 2007 tobeme 14 comments

Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies” – Fredrick Nietzsche

sunrise-boat.jpg

We must be careful not to get caught in the trappings of convictions. Nietzsche expresses this thought very well in the above quote. He is correct, our convictiions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies, for when we establish a conviction we normally close the door to growth, learning and possibilities.  We have seen this happen over and over throughout history. Socartes was made to commit state ordered suicide because of the convictions of his goverment, thousands of people were put to death by Adolf Hitler because of his convictions, today George Bush, President of the Unitied States continues to pour young lifes and an extreme amounts of money into a war with Iraq because of his convictions. All of these enities were advised to do other wise, I believe all of them knew deep in their soul that what they were doing was misleaded or wrong and that there exisited other possibilities, however because they held so strongly to their convictions, they proceeded on dispite the fact that there were many possibilities before them, that even when it was obvious that they were going down an ill fated path they stood rigid in their convictions.

I think it is very important to create self awareness of our own convictions. What are our individual convictions and what impact do those convictions have not only on us but also on humanity as a whole. Remember, we are not an island, are very thoughts have universal impact.

It is very easy as we consider the lessons which are presented to us to latch on to a belief and turn it  into a conviction. Turn it into something that we believe so strongly, that we become blinded by our own conviction. As we look inward for the truth we are often influenced by external factors. We may even look proudly upon ourselves and say “see, I am different, I do not think as the masses do, therefore I am enlightened and they are not”. We must be very aware not to fall into this trap, for the moment we do, we have put on blinders, we have created tunnel vision for ourselves and by doing so have unintentionaly stagnated our growth, slowed down our journey and blinded ourselves to truth.

Be open to all things, most importantly be open to that which we do not understand, be open to that which initally we oppose. Remember as you travel on your journey, there is no right or wrong, only are perception of what is right and wrong. Each of us is at a differnet point in our journey and we must respect that fact and honor where each of are in our journey. It is not are ‘job’ to convert others to our thoughts or to where we are in our journey. We live to ‘be’, not to create everyone to be our clones. In ‘being’ we will share who we are, we will share our thoughts and by doing so people will seek us out while on their journey for they hunger for the lesson which you have for them,  just as you seek the lesssons of others.

It is good to have a knowing, it is part of your journey to have a knowing, however always remember to be open to your knowing,  shifting, changing shape as you travel along your journey. Are journey is like that of the artist, we may start out with an undefinded stroke of paint or lump of clay, we may even have a vision for what we think it will look like, however as the artist proceeds in his/her craft, the piece of art may take many differnet shapes as it forms.  Like the sculpture who began to chip away at the block of granite, when he was asked by his student “what will it be master, what will you sculpt?” The sculpter wisely said, “I don’t know yet, with each hit of the chisel the rock will tell me what it will be”.

We are that artist, we must be open to the possibilites and be willing to shift and change as we travel along our path. Know that you are not your ego, you are spirit, you are divinity, therefore it is natural and wise to go with the flow!

Reveiw your convictions today and become aware of them, then open yourself up to recieve the bounty of truth which is within you!
